The Bank Details Control - Vendor app can also apply approvals to Vendors. You can require approvals for when people create vendors and for when people edit vendors.
Please note: Based on what is set in your configuration record, you will be required to do more or less. This process includes a verification step prior to approval to record steps taken to verify details. This may not be required in your process. If so, or if anything else is not used in your process, just ignore those parts of the guide.
Creating a Vendor:

Someone creates a Vendor as normal:

2. After save, the vendor will display a Pending Verification banner. It will also lack the edit button as per normal. If configured, the vendor will be inactive and so not visible in the list of vendors unless one is searching for inactive records explicitly.

In addition, if enabled, in the background it will generate an audit log which is visible from the Vendor Bank Details Approval Dashboard:

3. The app will send out an approval email to the nominated approvers with a link to the vendor record, requesting approval.

In addition, the approver will be able to see a pending vendor approval notification on the Vendor Bank Details Approval Dashboard:

4. If the approver is using the dashboard, they must click on the Pending Vendor hyperlinked number and it will take you to the list of pending vendors (shown below).For the vendor you wish to view and verify, click on the View button:

This will load the vendor record:

If the approver has navigated via email, then they will also be on the vendor record after viewing the record through the email.
If verification is required, the approver must check the vendor details according to your process.
Then they must click on the “Verify” button.
5. A pop-up will appear. The approver must enter into the pop-up how you verified the vendor details:

Then click “Submit.”
The approver should wait for the page to reload.
In the background, if enabled, another audit log will be generated:

6. Now that the record is verified, or if verification was not required, an approval or rejection can be processed. The approval will see 2 buttons displayed on the reloaded vendor page: Approve and Reject. They must click the appropriate button.

A pop-up asking for confirmation will appear. Click “Ok" to process approval or rejection.

The approver should wait for the page to reload.
7. Upon reloading, the vendor record will be approved. It will be active. It will be editable again.

Additionally, an audit log will be created acknowledging the approval:
